There are those who get so inspired by the muscular bodies they see on TV — from pro wrestlers to boxers — that they aim to get such type of body as well. They go to the gym and get into grueling workouts in the hopes of achieving a body worthy of a spread in a fitness magazine, although some do it so they can feel good about themselves. Some of those who perform backbreaking exercises aim to both build muscles and burn fat. The latter is the reason of those who have lost their self-esteem due to being overweight or obese.
Whatever your reasons are for sweating buckets in the gym, consulting your doctor should be the first order of business for you. Even if you can’t wait to purchase your workout gear and start lifting weights, your body and health condition may not be ideal for strenuous physical routines. Once your doctor has given you the green light, that’s when you can start creating your training program in consultation with a professional trainer. Depending on the current state of your body, you may have to start with losing or gaining weight first before you can get into a muscle-building program. Some people make the mistake of getting into building their muscles straight away even when there’s still a lot of fat to burn.
